Course Content:

  • Health effects of asbestos exposure

  • Asbestos in buildings

  • Asbestos and related Health and Safety Legislation

  • Know what processes release fibres

  • Understanding emergency procedures

  • Multiple choice question paper

Half day course - Valid for 1 year, then an annual refresher is required



Asbestos Awareness Refresher

Course Content:

  • Recap on initial Asbestos Awareness training

  • Update on changes in legislation, process and procedures

  • Multiple choice question paper

2 Hour course – Valid for 1 year


UKATA Non-Licensed Asbestos CAT

Course Content

THEORY MODULES

• Asbestos awareness training (in accordance with UKATA document A0022)

• Additional Legislation

• Building Mini-Enclosures

• Use of Class H Vacuum

• Use of Wetting control measures

• Personal protective equipment

• Cleaning

• Decontamination

• Waste

• Certificate of handover

• Risk assessment and plans of work

• Emergency Procedure

 

PRACTICAL ELEMENTS

• Use of H class Vacuum

• Use of PPE and RPE

• Use of wetting techniques

• Bagging Waste

• Building a Mini Enclosure (Optional)

• Decontamination
