Why Formation?

We pride ourselves on the most up to date, interactive first aid training to build on confidence and knowledge from complete beginners to well established first aiders.  We have been delivering training first aid for the past 5 years and recognised by Qualsafe (Ofqual) a registered training provider, certified to deliver a range of first aid training events from Emergency First Aid at Work to the full First Aid at Work certification, all courses include AED.

We go above whats required to deliver fist aid, providing more equipment and models to do more hands on practice.  Our trainers are full equipped with the skills and experience to deliver highly informative and fun, engaging training event.  Our instructors have a wealth of experience and qualifications, including 22 years’ experience working with the NHS – 16 years serving as an ambulance paramedic.

All our trainers have Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) and AED instructor’s qualification.

We also provide Mental Health First Aid.

First Aid Courses

 Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)

3 Day Initial course - Valid 3 years (Annual update reccommended)

Course Content:

Roles & responsibilities, assess an incident, unresponsive casualty management, choking, wounds and bleeding, shock, minor injuries, secondary survey, injuries to bones, muscles and joints, head & spinal injury, chest injury, burns & scalds, eye injury, poisoning, anaphylaxis and provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness.

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

1 Day - Valid 3 years (Annual update reccommended)

Course Content:

Role & responsibilities, assess an incident, unresponsive casualty management, choking, wounds and bleeding, shock, minor injuries.

Level 3 First Aid at Work Requalification (RQF)

2 Day Requalifying Course - Valid 3 years

Course Content:

Role & responsibilities, assess an incident, unresponsive casualty management, choking, wounds and bleeding, shock, minor injuries, secondary survey, injuries to bones, muscles and joints, head & spinal injury, chest injury, burns & scalds, eye injury, poisoning, anaphylaxis and provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness.

First Aid at Work Annual Refresher (Half Day)

Annual Update - Refresher - 3 hours - Valid 1 year

Course Content

Primary Survey, CPR, Unconscious Casualty, Manage a Casualty in Seizure, External Bleeding and Shock.

Automated External Defibrillation

Course Content:

Skills to operate an automatic external defibrillator machine & CPR.
